Weekend Links for 2/22/13

Weekend Links for 2/22/13

Will you be watching the Oscars on Sunday evening? I’m a little embarrassed about how much I look forward to it and DVR all of the red carpet shows so I don’t miss a thing! If you want to catch up on the nominees, you can still see Django Unchained, Zero Dark Thirty, Life of Pi, and Silver Linings Playbook in theaters.

The South Beach Food and Wine Festival is happening this weekend in Miami.  Are you going? There’s this little Italian place called Osteria Del Theatro in South Beach that has amazing food and the cutest Italian waiters. Don’t pass on the fresh burrata cheese if they have it!  I highly recommend it if you’re heading down there.

Whatever projects you have in progress, finish up quick because Mercury goes retrograde beginning tomorrow. I wrote about why you should care about that HERE.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you, Big Girl!

I found so many fun and interesting things for you to read and look at on the web this week I couldn’t list them all.

Have an enjoyable and relaxing weekend!

My version of “what would you take if the house was burning down” is probably reflected in my hurricane bag – packed June 1 and unpacked November 1 every year. First – the bag itself is actually the cat carrier – so: cat; cat food; cat toys; passport; birth certificate; cash; spare credit card; my parents wedding rings; – and on the way out the door I would grab my Mom’s ashes, my computer, my handbag, and my Nook. I could do all this in about 45 seconds. If it’s an inferno – I just grab the cat and run.
